serving over 200 companies and more than 2000 families since 1988
A couple of years ago we took over a group on a Broker of Record change. Kevin and Joanne were not getting the personal service their group deserves. This lead was from a referral from a current client, an attorney firm.
At the time the company offered their employees medical benefits only. The owners always wanted to offer more benefits like dental and vision, but with medical costs rising how could they afford the extra expense for 40 employees?
Last year we set-up Voluntary Dental Plans. Not knowing how many employees would want to participate we needed to look around for a carrier that would enroll as few as two employees and still be a group plan. After carefully review we came back with a plan that would accomplish our three goals: 1) give the employees the opportunity to purchase affordable dental insurance through their employer on a pre-tax basis; 2) the company was able to expand their employee benefit package without any additional costs to the company; 3) by having the employees pay for their new benefits through a Section 125 Premium Only Plan, the company saved on their Payroll Taxes and Workman’s Comp Premiums!
The set-up was simple, easy and clean. The participation surprised us. Over half of the employees enrolled for coverage!
The concept worked so well that this year they decided to offer Voluntary Vision Plans. Vision plans are inexpensive and again more than half of the employees enrolled.
